Rousing full-day session attracts record numbers
TREVOSE, PA – July 19, 2012 – Leadership authority Tony Robbins blew away a captive audience of over 1,000 distributors and suppliers, a record-breaking day of education at The ASI Show™ Chicago.
Undeniably one of the most significant shows within the industry and continually ranked as the industry’s most important summer show, ASI Chicago took place Tuesday, July 17, through Thursday, July 19, at McCormick Place and featured 718 exhibiting companies, up 5% from 2011 – including many Counselor® Top 40 suppliers and 204 new exhibitors to ASI Chicago this year. Total distributor attendance was about 4,400 from 1,800 distributor firms.
“It’s been fantastic. The traffic has been great,” said Sandy Gordon of Norwood/BIC Graphic (asi/40480). “Distributors are asking questions about projects and client solutions – we’re discussing real business. I would recommend this show to anyone – it’s the perfect place to see all the key players and develop real relationships.”
The three-day show – the last of the 2012 ASI Show season – was jam-packed from start to finish, featuring the industry’s most innovative products for the fourth quarter, specialized pavilions – the New Exhibitor and Incentive Pavilions – showcasing unique items, three receptions and a Thursday morning keynote by former Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.
“ASI Chicago has been terrific,” said Earl Bateman, from DVL Enterprises (asi/261648). “Starting off with Tony Robbins really set the mood for the excitement on the show floor. I found so many new and innovative ideas that I can’t wait to share with my clients for the upcoming holiday season. Attending ASI Chicago will definitely benefit my business.”
During “Unlock and Unleash: The Power of Breakthroughs,” Robbins motivated business owners, principals and sales leaders to think outside of the box and stretch beyond their comfort zones by participating in interactive exercises that included role-playing and sharing best practices. Robbins’ full-day program, which was co-sponsored by Fields Manufacturing (asi/54100) and Showdown Displays (asi/87188), spoke to both smaller entrepreneurial businesses and corporate institutions.
“Tony Robbins was fabulous and extremely energizing,” said Nikki Edwards, of Red Line Graphics (asi/305643). “My company is in transition right now with new ownership, and I learned a lot of positive things to take back, share and watch the sales grow. This is going to benefit us so much. I would have paid over and over to see it, but thanks to ASI I didn’t have to.”
Counselor magazine’s annual Hot Party took place at the Crimson Lounge nightclub, on Wednesday, when ASI® named the industry’s hottest trendsetters. We are thrilled to deliver such a value-packed week to our members and to the industry. With over 200 new suppliers, new pavilions on the show floor and 396 new innovative products displayed in the product showcase, it was a great way for suppliers and distributors to network, learn and grow their businesses.”
